L-1 / Bioscrypt is in the process of adding local sales and product support teams based in India to support customers and partners. In addition, the company sees many opportunities in India. Shiraz Kapadia, COO L-1 Enterprise Access Solutions explains how the company will address the future market demands; “You can expect to see a continuous investment in R&D … to be innovative in biometric technology regarding access control by further adding more and more biometric modalities to the 4G architecture. “

Kapadia adds that, “We’re looking to come out with new products at a pace that is unprecedented than we’ve accomplished as a company previous to this. We invest a great deal of effort in providing useable technology that is simple. It is fairly easy to create complicated technologies that are difficult to use, but our energy is invested in seeking to provide technology that is functional and enjoyable for the end-users.”

Kapadia explains further, “4G represents the fourth generation of our biometric access control products. Our goal was to create an architecture that was flexible to adapt and integrate to various access control applications, scalable to keep enhancing features and performance and extensible so that we can continue to add various individual and multi-biometric for access control.”

The new products received strong interest from the India security market based on offering many options with the multi-biometric product line that fit a wide range of requirements. More on the company’s product offering, Kapadia said, “Our intention is to continually come out with different biometric modalities that will serve the various needs that are found in the access control and time and attendance markets. I believe that we are one of the very few companies that provide biometric products specifically for access control that feature three different biometric modalities, namely, fingerprint, finger-vein, and 3D facial recognition.”
