What is your overview on the Indian Security market?
Indian security market is a fast growing market. India has attracted many new technologies with the real need. The reason being its huge geographical spread and the diverse business environment. India is known for the low-cost production and services industry, mythological places and tourist places worldwide, which has led to increased investment in multiple folds. This has led to lot of industries to grow, such as the hotel industry, tourist places, media communications, manufacturing industries, software development and BPO industry and so on.
As the industry has grown in multiple folds, the thin line of keeping track/ managing assets of an organization, securing company assets and tracking/managing activities of employees and the contractors have become more and more complex.
Therefore, the need of Indian security market has grown now from “tracking who has done what,” to “control who has to do what at what time.” Now, the trend has moved from tracking to preventing the losses.
In which sectors do you see growth happening?
I am seeing the high growth rate in defence, police forces, prisons, hospitality, manufacturing, process industry and jewellery industry, and real estate sectors. These sectors are distributed across the geographic region, because of government policies, operational needs, accessibility of raw materials and natural resources.
What are your plans for India?
Our presence in India has been from last six years and we have started our direct operations since last four months. From India, we have plans to operate in the SAARC countries directly and through few selected distributors and system integrators. We have our direct on-site support to our entire customer in India through our strong support team.
We are a 20-year old company, originated from United Kingdom and began operations by supporting British Airways. Now, we have operations in 30 countries providing our solutions for different market and in our professional life of Traka, we won the prestigious “Queens Award” twice for Traka Plc UK.
Traka, as a company, has a very big vision and focus to increase the market share in India and its neighbouring countries. Traka’s product is a unique solution first time offered for the Indian market. Traka ensures complete safety, security and makes the authorized person to use the authorized keys in the authorized period only. Traka India has plans to increase the team size in few months for the sales support and technical support. We are also in the plan of adding few selected system integrator and distributor with strong regional presence for their own region.
Any specific vertical that you intend to focus on?
We have a special customized program to support the government establishments, process industry, police/prisons and hospitality verticals as per the Indian requirements. We have strong focus on police forces, defence, arms and ammunition management, establishment’s asset controls and visitor asset management solutions for IT companies and manufacturing plants with our special MHE solutions.
Our products are reliable in all aspects and have been tested for different environmental conditions allowing us to work in all the possible sectors and geographical locations.
Our MHE solutions has reduced TESCO’s 80 per cent of damage costs of forklift trucks and allowed huge damage reductions of stocks and truck downtimes.
How has been the market response to your products?
We have received a very positive response towards our products/solutions from the end customers in these four months of duration. Our iFobs are the most intelligent devices, which are highly secured with the highest level of encryption techniques and the rugged nature of iFob has doubled our products life. The iFob allows customers to work in different method, such as:
a. Managing the keys/assets
b. Controlling and Tracking the Keys
c. iFobs acts a key for vehicles and so on
d. iFob can also be used for access control
The needs of Traka’s customers vary from different verticals and allowed us sustaining the business by satisfying different needs. We have already started working with satisfied clients in India by working towards their custom needs. Our MHE solutions and intelligent key cabinets are in heavy demand in India for the hospitality and establishment management solutions.
The industrial solutions and establishment management solutions are in heavy demand from my customer.
Your investment plans for India?
We are planning our investment directly and with other strategic partners across India and SAARC and also increasing our manpower. We have also increased our marketing activity to increase the market penetration in India. We want to build the brand “TRAKA” through Traka India in SAARC Region.
