Former Siemens head of sales for the Northern region Kath Rhodes and ex-ACT man Richard Money have joined the company’s European team to head up sales across the UK for the North and South respectively.
Established in Australia in 1988, the developer of integrated access control and intruder detection systems triumphed in the Access Control (Hardware) category at the Benchmark Innovation Awards 2017 with its browser-based Inception system.
The same product also won Access Control Product of the Year at the Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence.
“Inner Range is well known and respected globally and demand for our products here in the UK is growing,” said Tim Northwood, general manager of Inner Range Europe, which is headquartered in Reading, Berkshire. “We’re keen to build on our international reputation by increasing our presence in the UK and introducing more British companies to the Inner Range brand and products.

He added: “Kath and Richard have impressive knowledge and experience within the sector and I look forward to working with them – and many more new customers too.”
Inner Range systems are installed in hospitals and high-security units, colleges, distribution centres and pharmaceutical companies. government and critical national infrastructure, among other verticals.
Kath Rhodes has worked in the security industry since 1994, starting out at Baxall Security in Stockport before stints at MVD (part of Gardiner Security, now ADI Global), A&A Security and Europlex Security. When Siemens acquired Europlex around 2010/11, she became an intrusion specialist for Siemens and, later, its northern regional manager. Between leaving Siemens and joining Inner Range she briefly worked in other sectors.
“This role inspired me to re-join the Industry with a brand new opportunity to build the Inner Range brand across the North,” she said. “The product is unique in its flexibility and offers real integration to third-party systems unlike any other.”
Richard Money has worked in the security sector since 1997, selling electric strikes, turnstiles and barriers at Clarke Instruments Ltd before taking up positions at Gardiner Security in its access control division and then for ADI Global (part of Honeywell) when the latter acquired the former.
In 2011, Richard moved to ACT (Access Control Technology) as a senior account manager until the Vanderbilt buyout in 2016.
He said: “I am looking forward to introducing the Inner Range products to the UK market, where I feel there will be great interest.
“Inner Range offers something different being an access and intruder product that will integrate with a wide range of third party products and systems offering great flexibility, whilst being very cost-effective.”
