Ecl-ips buys Security Group and expands COVID-19 services

Ecl-ips-SSecurityGroup-20Ecl-ips, a CCTV and access control system designer and installer, has recently acquired Bristol-based alarms specialist, Security Group, to expand its services to clients. The business has also been supporting organisations with a range of ‘back to work’ solutions to help mitigate the risks of COVID-19.

With Security Group’s expertise in alarms Ecl-ips believes it will be able to offer clients a comprehensive security and safeguarding solution.

Each intruder alarm system that Security Group installs is certified to BS EN50131, BS 8243 and PS6662 standards. This gives added peace of mind since they comply to National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) policy and meet the requirements of the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB).

Both companies have fully trained and security screened engineers. While Security Group is SSAIB-registered, Ecl-ips is NSI-Gold approved thus providing all customers with confidence in its services, believes the business.

COVID-19 ‘back to work’ solutions

Ecl-ips is also supporting its customers by offering a range of ‘back to work’ solutions following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The firm is able to provide a range of solutions, including:

  • Occupancy management solutions to ensure social distancing is complied with. Avigilon’s occupancy counting and Paxton’s Net2 occupancy management software are being used to allow facilities managers to limit numbers in certain areas of the building.
  • Remote access control via Net2 software from Paxton, where managers can manage access control remotely, without physical contact required.
  • Face mask detection via Avigilon’s technology, which detects if there are breaches in the rules associated with the wearing of face masks or coverings.
  • Social distancing guidelines support – again, utilising Avigilon’s technology which can provide alerts if social distancing is not being adhered to.
  • Contact tracing capabilities.
  • Thermal scanning solutions, with Net2 able to integrate with thermal scanners, such as Avigilon’s thermal elevated temperature detection solution.

In other news, Ecl-ips Operations Director, Darren Roe, is set to complete the Cycle 300 (miles) challenge throughout September in an effort to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK. If you want to help Darren raise money, you can visit his fundraising page here and donate.
