WATCH: How to install the Hanwha Techwin Wisenet X Plus

The Wisenet X Plus IP dome cameras from Hanwha Techwin are designed to significantly reduce the time normally needed for installation, set-up and maintenance adjustments, highlights the manufacturer. Watch this handy step-by-step guide to find out the best practice methods for installation.

A four-part magnetic modular design simplifies the installation process, alongside a number of other practical features, including:

  • Magnets which lock sensor modules into the dome housing
  • The option to prefigure IP network settings without the need to remove the camera module from the box. The settings for the cameras can therefore be carried out at a system integrator’s offices, without having to unpack and repack each of the cameras.
  • The network cable can be inserted through the waterproof gland with the aid of an RJ45 plastic push-through device, negating the need to re-make a cable end.
  • A motorised PTRZ gimbal which enables installers to remotely pan, tilt, rotate and zoom the lens position in order to set the camera’s field of view.

“We believe these features make the Wisenet X Plus dome cameras among the fastest to install and maintain,” said Uri Guterman, Head of Product & Marketing for Hanwha Techwin Europe. “In a highly competitive market, we are very pleased to provide installers and system integrators with an edge when they bid for video surveillance projects which may have a large number count.”

The range of Wisenet X Plus models include internal, external and flush mounted options. All are supercharged by Wisenet 5, said to be a powerful DSP chipset. The 2MP models also benefit from Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), whilst the 5MP models utilise 120dB WDR technology.
