Hanwha Techwin announces rebrand to Hanwha Vision
Hanwha Techwin has unveiled a rebrand and name change to Hanwha Vision, as the company outlines its intention to pursue innovation in the field of global vision solutions.
With the change, the company says it will provide offerings that “go beyond” video surveillance, to provide vision solutions that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technology to deliver insights into customers’ business operations.
“By building on our core competitiveness through innovation, we will continue to alleviate our customers’ pain points while adding new value with advanced vision solutions,” said Soon-hong Ahn, President and CEO of Hanwha Vision.
“As we expand our business from surveillance monitoring and post-event analysis, we will provide customised information through big data analytics and actionable solutions that not only prevent incidents but also respond to them in real time. Our new vision solutions will be instrumental in advancing customers operational strategies,” CEO Ahn added.
Previously known as Samsung Techwin, Hanwha Group acquired the business in late 2014, rebranding it to Hanwha Techwin in June 2015. Headquartered in South Korea, its security division encompasses a broad product portfolio, though mostly focused on video surveillance solutions.
In line with this business development, Hanwha Vision will gradually roll out the rebranding of its overseas subsidiaries, products and solutions, based on market conditions.
