WATCH: How to install the Hikvision 5A Bullet Camera

Follow the step-by-step guide and watch the video below to get best practice advice on how to install the Hikvision 5A Bullet Camera when wall mounting. 

The camera features full 1080p resolution and a 4 megapixel camera, whilst night vision is enhanced using infrared technology and built-in LEDs which illuminate up to 30m, providing ‘dusk to dawn’ CCTV monitoring, assures the manufacturer.

Step 1: Take out the camera and check the accessories

  • Screws, expansion bolts
  • CD
  • Quick start guide
  • G3/4 adapter sealing plugs
  • Adapter plate
  • Threader
  • Auxillary video cable
  • Torx wrench

Step 3: Uninstall the junction box

Step 4: Install the G3/4 adapter

Step 5: Mark and then drill the holes on the wall

Step 6: Install the adapter plate

Step 7: Connect the grounding wire

Step 8 : Route the cables (WARNING: Keep the unused sealing plugs intact. Do not pierce through them)

Step 9: Take out the side cover

Step 10: Install the junction box

Step 11: Hook the safety rope and connect the cables

Step 12: Install the camera

Step 13: Adjust the view angle and fasten the screws once happy with the positioning

Step 14: Remove the protective film
