Eurotech Fire Systems are now supplying wireless detection systems, which were the first to receive LPCB certification to EN 54-25.
The range of wireless products – produced by Argus Security and supplied to Eurotech by Sterling Safety Systems – includes ‘intelligent’ optical, heat or multi-sensor detectors as well as AV devices and modules.
The systems can be fitted from scratch – using wireless-only detectors, sounders, beacons, call points and even voice sounders – or as part of a ‘hybrid’ solution, integrating wireless with hard wired systems by including the appropriate module.
The technology includes bi-directional communication, meaning every few seconds the control panel ‘talks’ to each address, and every device ‘checks in’ with the panel.
“There are a number of very good reasons for choosing wireless detection systems – not all of them financial,” said Eurotech’s sales manager, Vincent Agius. “Speed of installation, flexibility and architectural compliance are also big plusses for wireless.
“Because the whole system can be set up and programmed off site, we have been able to reduce installation time from days to hours,” he added.
