Integrated systems

An integrated visitor management solution from Honeywell can be incorporated into a company intranet for access control and management. It announces visitor arrival with a pop-up message on the PC.

Visitors can go to a mini stand where they register themselves. The system scans a business card, takes a photo and prints the access pass.

Alert-Line from Avila Consulting is a new computer and information security concept that links intruder detection systems with IT security software. This software allows contact with a special communications system via TCP/IP, RTC, GPRS, GSM, with a physical response: for example, it can activate alarms, close doors, block safes, disconnect PCs, and warn police.

The Alert-Line system also carries out hardware actions against a software intrusion, so it links computer and information security with security against break-in, and/or theft.

Radiobit Sistemas has developed a time and attendance reader with Bluetooth connection, allowing information to be sent from the reader via a Bluetooth-enabled GSM telephone. It also offers the possibility of downloading the information from the reader to a computer via Bluetooth.
