Latest monitoring centre sign-up confirms Iris as ‘Europe’s most widespread IP alarm system’
ADSI-FONTI has become the 233rd alarm monitoring centre to sign up to Iris and to offer it to customers, following in the footsteps of other key Swiss monitoring service providers such as Protectas, TYCO-Swiss Alertis and RUVOR Alarm Management.
ADSI-FONTI is based in Geneva and specialises in the monitoring of high-end installations for banks, Governmental institutions and embassies.
Iris is a fully-integrated IP alarm transmission and monitoring system that combines class-leading independent certification with a variety of operational benefits and advantages.
“With an estimated market coverage of 80% of potential users across Europe, Iris is the one IP system fulfilling its potential to transform the way security alarms are monitored,” commented Willem Harthoorn, Chiron Security Communications’ CCO.
Number of new connections “escalating rapidly”
“The number of new connections is also escalating rapidly – including both commercial and domestic systems – making Iris the market leader by a wide margin.”
Harthoorn added: “Many alarm panel manufacturers are now offering IRIS technology embedded within their own panels.”
The system is independently certified to EN50131 and 50136 – approved to Grade 4 ATS-6.
“Iris diallers are also easy to install – no specialist IP knowledge is required – and fit a wide range of both new and existing ‘legacy’ alarm panels,” said Harthoorn.
“Iris also offers secure primary and back-up communication routes between a monitored site and the ARC, while also providing the ability to make tangible operating cost savings and thus significantly adding value to a company’s existing IT network.”
