The move means that WebWayOne’s digital communications range will be distributed in Ireland by MTS, privately owned Irish company, specialises in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of security and related systems.
Steve Mooney of MTS said: “It was top priority for MTS to choose a signalling provider with the correct IP technology on board. We wanted the best solution to roll out nationally.
“WebWay have been innovative market leaders for years; their signalling products are certified to the highest standards, using the latest technologies. They have a professional approach and the LPS approval of the WebWay range gave us confidence we were choosing a product that would deliver secure alarm signalling.”
WebWay’s digital communications range includes IP/GPRS, IP/PSTN or IP-Digi, while the GPRS range includes GPRS/PSTN and GPRS-Digi, both described as IP ready.
Staff at MTS have been provided with full onsite training in first line support capabilities and have access to the WebWay’s suite of management software. Engineers were trained on the WebWay architecture, installation process and problem diagnosis.
WebWayOne commercial director, Chris Brennan, said: “We are delighted that MTS have chosen to install WebWay servers in their alarm receiving centre.
These are now live and ready to accept connections. Our signalling system reduces the operational costs of alarm signalling whilst adding value. WebWay’s communicators integrate with all the leading alarm panels and provide fast, secure and reliable transmission in a rich data format over IP and GPRS networks”.
