IFSEC interviews Nick Whiting, Head of BT Redcare, as he discusses the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) switch-off at London’s ExCeL during IFSEC 2023.
Nick discusses the upcoming PSTN switch-off and what this means for security systems installers and their customers, as well as expanding on how BT Redcare is supporting the industry to make the move to all-IP.
He mentions the challenge of having around 10 million PSTN lines to upgrade in the next two years and how BT are preparing for this digital move.
Nick then finishes with why it was important for BT to have thirty party certifications for its alarm signalling and related devices.
