State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Meet The Buyers at IFSEC 2009

UK exhibitors will have a unique opportunity to develop their international trade activity through the Meet The Buyers programme, which has been organised by the British Security Industry Association, the Fire Industry Association, the Association of Police and Public Sector Security Suppliers and event organiser UBM Live. The initiative is also supported by UK Trade and Investment.

Meet The Buyers will be opened by Prince Michael of Kent on the first day of the show. Exhibitors will be invited to ‘speed network’ with key buyers and decision-makers from the international delegation.

Representatives from Argentina, Canada, Egypt, India, Italy, Lebanon, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa and Vietnam will all be present with the aim of placing substantial orders within the security, safety and fire industries.

Access to the International Visitors Lounge

The international delegates will also have access to the International Visitors Lounge in which there will be translators to facilitate any business negotiations. They will also be in attendance at the IFSEC Security Industry Awards Dinner, which also takes place on Monday 11 May.

Speaking about the Meet The Buyers initiative, James Blue – director of the Fire and Security Portfolio at UBM Live – told SMT Online: “Meet The Buyers further confirms that IFSEC is the leading platform for international security trade. Our experience from previous years emphasises that our Inward Missions programme provides a unique opportunity for UK-based exhibitors to explore international business markets during IFSEC Week. Their networking may well result in an increase of international trade. On that basis alone, it’s an opportunity not to be passed up.”
