Grandstream Networks launches new firmware with ONVIF interoperability

Also included in the firmware enhancement is the added support for external WiFi adapter for all of Grandstream’s surveillance products that have a USB port, as well as a remote door opener feature designed to allow a user to remotely and securely control door opening via a Grandstream video camera that has one of the I/O ports connected to a door’s electronic controller. Users should be able to achieve this by pressing a key on the Grandstream GXV3140 video phone while viewing or hearing real-time video and audio streaming from the door camera.

David Li, CEO of Grandstream Networks, said: “Enterprise customers are increasingly drawn to IP based security solutions because they can integrate with an existing voice or data network, are more scalable, secure, and can be remotely monitored from anywhere in the world.

“Grandstream is fully committed to the video surveillance marketplace and will continue to deliver innovative and standards based IP video surveillance products that meet customers’ evolving demand.”
