State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

IFSEC 2011: Optex to display detection products for the home

Products on the stand will include BoundaryGard home protection, wireless perimeter detection, internal and external rapid deployment GPRS systems and ARC simulation for battery-powered devices.

The Optex BoundaryGard range, which can complement existing systems as well as be networked to provide an integrated system design, provides the same level of performance usually limited to internal detection systems, Optex said.

Paul Nicholas, Optex Europe’s divisional manager, said: “The BoundaryGard range of products offer simplicity, reliability and versatility to customers who are looking to add external detection to their home.

“The superb flexibility of the range means that customers can design their system to monitor specific areas or control detection to a boundary or perimeter wall – whatever best suits their needs.”

The BoundaryGard range also features products designed for commercial environments, where detection is only required temporarily or needs to be mobile, as well as for locations that lack mains power.

This includes the company’s VX-402R-GSM device, which has been built with a high stability external PIR sensor with an integrated GSM messaging system and three-year battery life.

“The GSM BoundaryGard sensor is ideal for installation in empty properties, construction sites, storage facilities and remote equipment cabinets, and is so easy to install; customers can use it straight out of the box,” Nicholas said.

Visit Optex in Hall 5, stand B20, at the NEC from May 16-19.
