Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

Hot products: April 2002

Wireless brand</b>
Avocet’s first own-brand wireless intruder system is solar powered combined with digital radio frequencies and microprocessor technology. This totally wireless system can be fitted in minutes because it does not require connection to the mains power supply.
The system contains two door and window contacts, four PIRs, dummy siren console and remote controller as well as the main solar alarm siren console. Items can be purchased separately, so the system can be expanded as necessary.
With its integral light activated solar panel, the system charges all year round, topping up the pre-fitted battery even in cloudy conditions. It can operate without light for up to 60 days.
Other features include selectable siren duration from one to eight minutes, choice of operating function between siren chirps and silent LED flashing and selectable jamming detection. The powerful 115dB twin siren system also includes audible low battery warning for detectors and full anti-tamper detection.

Out of range</b>
Yale Security Products’ HSA3000 and HSA3500 wirefree alarms were designed with ease of installation and simple operation in mind. Both use a 433 MHz frequency to minimise interference from mobile phone service providers.
The HSA 3000 can protect up to 20 zones and comes with a sounder, door/window contact, PIR and remote control. The HSA3500 (pictured) can relay one of four pre-recorded messages, advising if the alarm is a burglar, fire, personal attack or medical alarm.

Clarity of image</b>
Stortech Electronics’ popular bullet style miniature monitoring cameras come with either surrounding infra-red or white LED clusters, enhancing image clarity. The white cluster LED works as a white light source, while the infra-red cluster enhances image quality in low light conditions.
Aimed for use at bars, clubs or entertainment venues where white LEDs provide localised illumination, the compact, discreet cameras are also price competitive.
Camera options include monochrome medium resolution units and high-resolution versions. Lens options include 2.9mm, 6mm, 8mm and 12mm. The camera is supplied complete with integral wiring and mounting bracket. The units are powered by 12v DC connections.
