Aimed at making the installer’s life simpler, the company’s quick and easy installation model presents advanced CCD camera technology as a low cost security option. The one-to-one model is a stylish kit aimed at small commercial premises or for the home. It includes a camera panel and tilt bracket, monitor handset and 10 metres of 4 core cable.
2nd Herculean observation Philips CSI’s REO observation system comprises a four-camera input switcher, eight-camera input multiplexer, and can take up to two slave monitors. The sleek, white, switcher monitor has manual or auto sequencing picture selection, day/night switch, video motion detection and remote control of all functions. The multiplexer gives full screen, sequential picture selection, 2×2 real time quad or multi-screen 3×3 display, event replay and stored snapshots. The plug-and-play system requires no specialised installation knowledge. Four camera options include integrated lens, integrated varifocal lens, varifocal DC iris, and fixed dome.
Joint 3rd Bridging the IT and CCTV gap AD Network Video’s NetVu Vanguard is a video server with hard disk recording capability, bundled with Windows’ compatible viewing software. It connects to a company’s existing IT network. Once installed, it can simultaneously process digital inputs from up to 16 internal and external CCTV cameras. It also has eight onboard inputs for alarm/detector/set devices, with expansion capability. Four and eight channel models are available with dial-out capability over modem, terminal adaptor, router or GSM. Applications include management checks on production processes, monitoring in-store customer flows, tracking company assets and site security. It also gives password protected, multi-access level remote dial-in and cuts engineer site visits by allowing down-the-line upgrades via a web browser.
Joint 3rd Up on the roof A new tile and slate clamp that gives installers a fast fix solution to fixing cameras or security lights on the roof comes from Gangway Ltd. Taking only three minutes to fit without the need for drilling, power supply cables can be fed from the loft underneath the roof-tiles. The clamp uses three slide-in cleats that provide the key to speedy and easy fixing. Each cleat has a patented safety device that ensures it remains firmly fixed to the roof and away from areas where they are likely to be tampered with. The kit comes ready for the security market together with fixing mast and simple instructions. They are bagged in boxes of 10.
