Overtec and National Monitoring take monitoring directly to corporate users
Alarm receiving centre operator, National Monitoring’, is to offer companies its Physical Security Information Management System (PSIM),
It is hoped that together National Monitoring and Overtec, a company which finds solutions for mobile workforces, can increase their reach of corporate workforces.
“Organisations are able to use their existing IT network infrastructure to communicate data from safety and security systems, eliminating expensive dedicated telecoms lines and achieving considerable savings. The resulting signalling network is secure, resilient and cost effective,” Overtec joint managing director David Thomas, said.
“The service utilises important information that other providers often discard. Data is automatically transformed into key management reporting including lone worker, trading hours, unauthorised or unscheduled access and reactive and scheduled maintenance.
“When implemented across a multi-site organisation, this provides a common operating picture enabling rapid situational awareness, management and real-time resolution”, Thomas said.
“The innovative way that National Monitoring has adapted technology to deliver new and better services makes it a natural partner for us. Its significant continuing investment in technology and infrastructure enables services to interface with current and future safety and security systems.”
Paul Miller, managing director of National Monitoring, said: “Combining our 35 years of monitoring experience with Overtec’s knowledge of the wider corporate market has created a powerful and unique partnership.”
