Redvision launches VEGA 2010 rugged housing range

Redvision has launched the Redvision VEGA 2010 range of rugged camera housing for hazardous, corrosive and outdoor surveillance environments.

Protecting hardware from dirt, moisture and dust ingress, the new range will house fixed camera and lens combinations up to 290mm in length.

Features

  • Cable-managed, with a built-in junction box for vandal resistance
  • Symmetrical design for pendent or pedestal mounting to ceilings, walls and soffits
  • Redvision VEG camera window has an optional Tru-park silicon wiper to remove dirt and water. When not in  use the wiper is concealed behind the housing’s front bezel
  • CHA interface board for power, audio, washer and wiper control uses universal, Pelco telemetry protocol. If telemetry is not available, wiper and washer activation intervals can be automated with dip-switches
  • IP67 weather-proof rated and IK10 shock and vandal-resistance rated
  • Marine-grade plating finish protected by powder-coating
  • Available in light grey (RAL 7035) as standard, although any RAL colour can be ordered

Redvision says

“The VEGA 2010 housing is like a fixed camera version of our well-established, VOLANT and X-SERIES rugged, PTZ cameras,” said Paul Hucker, director at Redvision. “It includes identical features, like an optically-correct, toughened glass, camera window; a wiper to remove dirt and moisture; and rugged, die-cast aluminum construction. It will be closely followed by the VEGA 2050 range, where 2MP, 4MP and thermal cameras options will be built in.”

About Redvision

Established in 2000, Redvision pioneered the industry’s first rugged, external PTZ dome camera six years later.

The UK developer of high-performance, rugged CCTV cameras, which has carved a niche in local authority, industrial and public space applications, then launched the X-SERIES rugged PTZ dome camera in 2011.

Last year saw the launch of  the “fast, accurate, silent” PTZ camera VOLANT and VEGA, a range of rugged camera enclosures.
