IFPO UK welcomes Walt Disney Security and two new advisory board members

The International Foundation of Protection Officers UK & I (IFPO UK) is delighted to welcome Disney EMEA Security as Corporate Members and its entire security team as Individual Members. Meanwhile, Ashley Watson and Iskandar Jefferies have joined the UPO UK Advisory Board.

The Walt Disney Company and its security team pride themselves on personal and career development, diversity, equity & inclusion, talent retention, and employee welfare. All these factors align closely with the IFPO mission to support security professionals, especially those on the frontline, in their careers and to promote wellbeing.

In addition to membership, IFPO and learning partner, Nuology, will be delivering its accredited learning packages both online and in person, over the next year, to various parts of the Disney security team who work on facilities, theatres, and events.

New IFPO UK Advisory Board members

The IFPO UK & Ireland team would also like to welcome Iskandar Jefferies CPP MSyI and Ashley Watson PSP, MSyI, CTSP to its Advisory Board.

Iskandar (Kandy) Jefferies CPP MSyI is an accomplished security professional with experience of effectively managing security operations in complex, hostile & high-risk to fast paced corporate environments. His experience spans almost 20 years in the security industry, starting as a security officer and working up to director level. Iskandar has a colourful background of experience from overseeing operations in Afghanistan as well as managing ex-British special forces (SAS/SBS) to organizations specialising in guard-force solutions. Iskandar has a unique lens on leadership, mentorship, coaching and support. Iskandar specialises in servicing Technology clients and has a proven track record gained from working closely with the globe’s top technology organizations.

Outside of his role with Pinkerton as a Regional Strategic Account Manager – EMEA, Kandy is a valued; Advisor to the Board of International Foundation for Protection Officer (IFPO) having previously held positions on the Board of Directors for ASIS UK: Director for Diversity Equity & Inclusion; Director of Young Professionals. He attained his ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) in 2013, is a member of the UK Security Institute (MSyl) and is an active member within the UK security industry.

Ashley Watson PSP, MSyI, CTSP has been in the security industry for over 16 years and has a combination of engineering, system design, project management, consultancy, corporate security and risk management experience.

Ashley has worked for sites of critical national infrastructure to the UK, Government sites as well as global organisations such as MasterCard, Thomson Reuters, Refinitiv, LSEG and Google. He is now the Security Operations and Risk Manager for the Bank of China. With his technology and engineering background, he combines those technical systems design, project management and consultancy skills with policy and procedure development and risk management and operational strategies. He holds the ASIS PSP qualification and is a member of the Security Institute and in 2018 completed the CPNI’s Physical Security Training pathway. Ashley is passionate about professionalism within the industry along with career development, learning, knowledge sharing and mentoring.
