EyeLynx Chooses Tiny Green PC’s Fit PC2 to Power PharosTM Wireless Rapid Deployment CCTV System

EyeLynx has chosen Fit PC2 as the processing platform for its PharosTM wireless rapid deployment CCTV system.

Used by police forces, building contractors and event organisers the EyeLynx PharosTM surveillance system is the only true HD rapid deployment surveillance system with Edge Recording Cluster ERCTM capability.

The SharpView NVR software will benefit from the ultra-compact and low power consumption of Tiny Green PC Fit PC2. As the PharosTM has the capability of recording footage from multiple HD cameras round the clock, it could translate into significant saving in energy costs.

SharpView also has the capability of forwarding a snapshot alert to the control centre or assigned person’s mobile devices for visual verification in case of perimeter compromise.

PharosTM’s surveillance system was trusted to monitor the last two Conservative Party conferences in Manchester and Birmingham.

Said EyeLynx Managing Director Jay Patel: “SharpView is an efficient software solution that records HD video from multiple cameras and processes the images in real time. The challenge was to find a very low power PC, small enough to be hidden in the camera case and able to run for several days from a battery system.”

The industrial grade stand-alone 12V battery power system on the Pharos, which has a solar/wind charging option, adds to the system’s portability. The 100 to 300Ah battery can power the complete system for days at a stretch; TinyGreenPC Fit PC2 only uses a meagre 8W of power.

A TeraByte Hard Disk can store up to 30 days of evidential quality HD video. Based on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, the TinyGreenPC smoothly will run the SharpView NVR software.
