Gunnebo India announces Sabyasachi Sengupta as New Country Manager and MD

Gunnebo India has appointed Sabyasachi Sengupta, formerly its executive director of finance, as its new country manager and managing director.

The newly promoted Sengupta has been associated with Gunnebo since 2008 and has been in the industry for some 24 years.

Sengupta has diverse experience across different business verticals and has worked with conglomerates like ABB Ltd., ICI India Ltd. and Novartis India Ltd.

Gunnebo has also announced to promote Som Gangopadhyay, currently designated as senior VP, Bank Security, and Secure Storage to deputy managing director and executive director, sales and marketing.

Commenting on these appointments, Sacha de La Noe, chairman, Gunnebo India and senior vice president, region Asia-Pacific says,: “Over the last five years, we have recorded very impressive growth in India, especially within the Banking sector. Going forward we will try to reinforce our dominant position in all the business verticals signaling the next wave of growth. ”

Som Gangopadhyay joined Gunnebo in 2009, and has been a key player in driving the success of the Bank and Secure Storage business in India.

Som has had 23 years of rich experience within marketing and sales in organizations like Philips India Ltd. and Canon India.
