Accessible via its new website, installers now have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and understanding by using a new online training tool from Paxton. In addition, the company is currently offering a free 30-day licence to new registrations, if they sign up by 24th December.
The online training is said to comprise small modules arranged by product, covering Paxton’s access control and door entry ranges. With the diaries of installers getting ever-busier, the option allows engineers who may be unable to attend a training session to work through online classes at their own pace, or revisit modules to top-up their knowledge.
Global Training Manager, Steve Woodbridge, said: “More and more companies are offering online training courses to complement their face-to-face training. Providing more options for installers to complete Paxton training feeds into our company value of simplicity – enabling them to learn wherever they are and fit training into their schedule.
“Our face-to-face training programme continues to expand, providing more availability than ever before to attend a practical training session. For those that are unable to attend, our online training option means the installer will benefit from our 30-plus years of industry experience from wherever they are, whenever they choose.”
The courses are designed to be interactive and engaging, including how-to videos and exercises, in order to building confidence and knowledge of the company’s systems.
The courses currently cover a range of products, including the Net2 software, an advanced PC based access control solution, Entry, a door entry system that works standalone or alongside Net2, and PaxLock, the range of wireless access control solutions in a door handle.
Steve added: “For our installers, especially in areas where we don’t currently offer training, this online tool will be really useful. I believe it will be an excellent way for us to continue to support our installers and build our presence globally.
“We know that nine out of 10 installers go on to regularly install Paxton products. This validates our belief that trained installers are confident fitting Paxton products and will choose them again and again for their customers. We can also be confident our products are being fitted to high standards which is key to an end-user’s experience.”
Paxton has been offering free installer training since 2005. Hands-on workshops are held at Paxton offices, as well as out in the field. With new products released regularly, the programme is constantly evolving. Paxton’s online training is now available in the UK, South Africa and Middle East and will launch in other regions next year.
