Samsung Techwin SRN-4000 NVR Bags CCTV Product of the Year Award

The gong for PSI Magazine’s CCTV Product of the Year 2015 has gone to Samsung Techwin’s SRN-4000 64 channel NVR.

The winners in each category were selected through voting by professional security installers. Innovation and quality standards were the differentiating factors that installers were instructed to look for in the contenders.

The merits of the SRN-4000 were an economical total cost of ownership courtesy an out-of-the box Linux based video recording solution.

Another feature of the product lauded by the judges is its ability to record in real-time the images from 64 x 2 Megapixel and the ‘Hot Swap’ facility – built-in hard drive to back-up the recording function in case of a technical glitch. The CCTV also features a dual power supply for enhanced power reliability.

The award was announced at the PSI (Professional Security Installer) Premier Awards dinner at Stapleford Park, nr Melton Mowbray on 2 July.

It has an on-screen user interface which enables it to be configured in just four steps using an ‘Easy Setup’ wizard, whilst cameras can be registered without complication via a quick setup process.”
