Tony Smith of UK-based Turnstile manufacturers Fastlane answered our questions about the company’s plans for the forthcoming IFSEC & OSH Arabia 2014 show.

Fastlane’s major accounts and marketing manager gives an insight into what technology visitors can expect to see on their stand (number N11 in the RICEC Exhibition halls) and which verticals the brand is targeting.

IFSEC Global: Why are you attending IFSEC & OSH Arabia? 

TS: IFSEC definitely has a more impressive geographical reach and coverage within the Saudi and GCC region than other shows.

IG: What technology/products will you showcase on your stand?

TS: We will be showcasing a new Touchscreen and exhibiting a sampling of our new Ethernet connectable products.

IG: How can end users or consultants expect to benefit from visiting your stand?

TS: It will be a highly visual, interactive stand where you’ll find a Fastlane team with a huge amount of expertise in our services and products. So any visitor should expect to come away with a real understanding of our offering.

IG: Are you targeting any particular verticals/sectors right now? If so, why? 

TS: We are targeting multiple sectors, from corporate, transport and border control to health and education. These are all strong growth areas.

IG: What are your growth plans over the next six-12 months?

TS: Unlimited!

IG: In your opinion, what’s the most exciting development happening in the security industry right now?

TS: It has to be Ethernet Connectivity and web -browsable products.
