Final preparations for IFSEC and FIREX International, the biggest week in our calendar, are under way, and I’m really excited to be able to give you a little teaser of some of the things we’ll be up to next week.

London calling
With one eye on next week’s show and another already on 2014, we thought we could have some fun with the show’s move to London next year. We got in touch with one of our contributors, Colin Bodbyl, and asked him for help.
He was able to recreate the cover of the famous album London Calling by the Clash. Instead of smashing his guitar on the floor, Bodbyl took his emotions out on a clunky analogue surveillance camera.
We will be giving away T-shirts with the design next week at our stand, T10, in the crossover area between IFSEC and FIREX International.
Win GB pound 1,000 for charity
But we wanted to take this one step further. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one of these very limited edition T-shirts, we want you to get a picture of yourself in front of a famous landmark or maybe with something that reminds you of London. This could be a London Underground sign, a Beefeater, or even an old London bus.
To get you started, I’ve very helpfully had a picture taken of myself wearing the shirt in front of my own house in Central London. I have to share the place, but the rent’s cheap, and access to horse-drawn carriage is an amazing plus.

Once you’ve taken your picture, send it in to us, either by tweeting us @ifsecglobal or by emailing your picture to [email protected]. We’ll be putting together an IFSEC Global hall of fame in the months to come. Any entries received before 5 July 2013 will have a chance to win GB pound 1,000 for a charity of their choice.
Make sure you come and see us at stand T10 starting Monday at IFSEC International and FIREX International. But you need to be quick, because once the T-shirts are gone, that’s it.

I think that this is a Fabulous idea Rob. What a great way to get us all involved. With 25,000 people at IFSEC International and 14,000 at Firex International T’shirts may be the begin of a revolution.
Additional prize for the person who is able to get one of these worn by the QUEEN.
