Tavcom Training, a subsidiary of Linx International Group, has partnered with the Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) in Dubai to strengthen its presence in the region.
The Dubai Government set up SIRA in 2016 by converting the Department of Protective Systems into an independent agency. SIRA has responsibility for setting security-related regulations, training and enforcements in Dubai.
SIRA will work with Tavcom to ensure a high level of accredited technical and comprehensive training is provided to those operating in Dubai’s private security sector.
SIRA and Tavcom have created technical workshops at SIRA’s new training centre, which reflects Tavcom’s UK training centre in featuring fully equipped workshops, providing students with expert tuition in theory as well as practical ‘hands-on’ experience using a range of equipment.
The new centre in Dubai is expected to train around 50 students each month.
Tavcom Training is a leading provider of accredited security systems training courses. The firm provides award winning BTEC certificated courses to installers, operators, managers and designers of CCTV, network IP, intruder alarm, access control, fire alarm and all other types of electronic security systems.
The range of technical and non-technical courses span security management, control room operations, disaster recovery, counter eavesdropping, solar panel installation and covert CCTV.
