A major city in the UAE has elevated its public transport network with a significant upgrade to its video surveillance network to monitor traffic and security throughout its toll network.
The city required a CCTV solution to complement its modern toll system to better monitor traffic flow and improve security processes as its gantries.
With low-resolution feeds and limited data storage capacity, the legacy system has been upgraded to provide several improvements:
Advanced surveillance solution for toll gantries – an open platform was required with HD cameras managed by an intelligent VMS solution.
Enhanced traffic monitoring and incident recording – Control centre operators can better monitor traffic activity and flow, with live and recorded videos displayed on a single panel.
Streamlined collaboration and rapid investigations – A unified surveillance solutions supports investigation so that all data required is accessible in one place.
A collaboration between Vantage Ultra HD Network Cameras and Videonetics AI-powered VMS was chosen as the solution to deliver the project, which was delivered by Vantage Integrated Security Solutions. It has has reportedly “significantly improved security measures while ensuring scalability and adaptability for future needs”.
