1SC Guarding wins re-tender of Poplar HARCA contract
Poplar HARCA (Housing and Regeneration Community Association) is a registered social landlord responsible for the management of 8,500 homes in East London, which were transferred from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Association’s role is to help bring about the social, urban and economic regeneration of the area under its charge.
Only last year, Poplar HARCA won a prestigious Public Services Award from The Guardian newspaper.
The new contract sees 1SC Guarding provide bespoke security services to both Balfron and Carradale Towers.
“1SC Guarding has been operating since 1997 and, during this period of global recession, it’s absolutely paramount that we’re able to adapt to such hard economic times for the benefit of our numerous clients,” said David Jones, the company’s managing director and founder.
Jones added: “Our ability to offer competitive rates is due to the fact that we have much smaller managed overheads, but we never compromise on quality whatever the size of the contract.”
1SC Guarding will continue to provide Estate patrolling services for Poplar HARCA to ensure that its many residents emanating from all ethnic backgrounds are kept safe at all times. This will include – but is not limited to – checking the safety of buildings, approaching unauthorised persons and assisting when required with individual tenants.
London Bridge Hospital contract award
1SC Guarding has also announced that it’s to provide security services for the privately owned and operated London Bridge Hospital.
“Security at the London Bridge Hospital is an important factor in enabling both staff and patients to go about their business while feeling confident about their safety in what is a busy and popular part of London,” said Andrew Dawson, deputy hotel services manager for the London Bridge Hospital.
“We have chosen 1SC Guarding to provide security guarding services as we believe that the company offers an individually tailored service based on sound principles, and is not prepared to compromise on its standards.”
1SC Guarding will now select a hand-picked and vetted security team to work at the hospital, the members of which will possess strong hospitality skills, and who will adhere to the unique and welcoming environment of a busy and popular private hospital in central London.
1SC Guarding’s core business functions are the provision of bespoke guard control systems, uniformed mobile and static guards, key holding and alarm response services in accordance with current British Standards and those demanded by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Contracts include those with the NHS, several museums, local councils, office complexes, residential buildings and construction sites in London and the surrounding Home Counties.
