A fair Exchange for Photo-Scan

  • CCTV
  • Access control
  • Manned guarding
  • Integrated systems

The latest development phase at Exchange Quay – part of the Salford Quays site that boasts more than 46,450 m2 of office and retail space – has seen the installation of 16 colour PTZ cameras supplied by Photo-Scan. Linked to the car park entry barrier at Car Park 2, the cameras are designed to provide time and date-generated recordings to assist site property manager Esterre Ltd in identifying offenders.
Sunbury-on-Thames-based Photo-Scan was also responsible for the site’s original CCTV installation, which provides camera support to the round-the-clock manned security patrols. The original dual fixed and six PTZ units look out over the car parks, the retail units and the site perimeter.
Meantime, the new cameras have been linked into the existing control console, located in Building 5. The next step is to upgrade the barrier system in Car Park 1 so that it will interface with the new access proximity card system, resulting in integrated CCTV surveillance and car parking security.
