Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

A time for excellence

In a relatively short space of time the Security Excellence Awards have grown in stature to become the ‘Oscars’ of the British security industry.
Rewarding organisations and individuals who have made a real impact in the previous calendar year, the gala awards evening attracts hundreds of security leaders and figureheads – while those companies and individuals who’ve won have benefited greatly from their heightened profile in the industry.
Those of you who attended last year’s Security Excellence Awards will have the lingering memories of good company, tasty cuisine and great entertainment from comic and renowned broadcaster Tony Hawks. Not to mention the chance to honour some of the very best work in the business.
With those memories fresh in the mind, you’ll be pleased to know that Security Management Today and its sister Builder Group title Security Installer are now preparing for the 2001 event, to be held once again at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Monday 12 November. An event that promises to be even bigger and better than ever.
Entry forms will be distributed in forthcoming editions of both magazines, and are also available from Camargue. Call 01242 577277 or e-mail [email protected] for further details. All entrants will be asked to complete a comprehensive questionnaire to quantify their progress over the previous year, and will also be invited to provide additional qualitative material to support their entries. The closing date is set for Friday 27 July.
A distinguished judging panel will then assess each submission. The winners will not be disclosed until the awards night itself.

Sponsorship opportunities
The Security Excellence Awards offer much more than an exciting, glitzy night out. It’s the very best possible opportunity for companies to support higher standards in the industry through sponsorship.
We are looking for even more sponsors to help us recognise and reward the industry’s best. It could be a senior representative of your company on stage, presenting an award at one of the industry’s premier events. Your logo would appear on the big screen, and your company’s name would be engraved on the trophy of your category.
Following on from the success of the Security Excellence Awards in the past two years, the format of the event has now been improved still further – with five of the ten awards focused on rewarding examples of best business practice. These categories are open to the whole industry.
The remaining ‘gongs’ are aimed at finding the best security firms – split into five categories of organisation. As the first five awards are generic categories they could, for example, be won by a company which is victorious in the second batch.
