A Wave of new products at IFSEC

Graham Handyside, VP of global operations at WG Security Products explains why they waited to release so many products at once: “We have chosen to bring our latest technology to the UK to launch, as IFSEC 07 really is the stepping stone into the European security market for us. This is the international launch of our IR technology and IFSEC gives us the ideal opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of our intelligent tag system”.

The Products:

Wave, a 58Khz EAS security system, aims to provide users with what WG believe is “the most intelligent tagging system on the market today”. As well as triggering EAS pedestal alarms when taken over the threshold of the store, the Wave self-alarms if tampered with or when detached using a non-Wave detacher. The Wave Deactivator disarms and arms the Wave Tags with a unique, store specific, coded IR signal.

Crystal Guard is described by WG as a ‘highly discrete’ EAS system. Compatible with all 58Khz acousto-magnetic tags and labels, the company are confident that they use up to 30% less energy than traditional devices- with increased detection levels. Crystal Guard uses an anti-jamming feature that alerts retailers of any attempts to disable tag detection.

Lane Guard is designed to prevent the concealment of products under trolleys or in clothing at checkouts. The system compatible with all 58Khz acousto-magnetic tags and labels, and the pedestals incorporate bumper protection and include advertising space. In addition, each lane can be independently monitored by retailers and security personnel.
