The move to a new base at Parc Hendre, Ammanford, South West Wales follows a GB pound 1.8m merger and expansion with one of its suppliers Swelco Eighty of Cwmgors.
The move, protecting 170 local jobs, means that Altron can double production overnight and cut down lead times for customers. The company is also looking to broaden business in the US, middle east and South Africa.
Altron poles, towers, columns, bracketry and bespoke brackets are used in over 600 towns and city centres throughout the UK. The company currently manufactures 120-130 poles each week and also makes brackets for other manufacturers such as Mark Mercer Electronics and Molynx.
Health and safety and technical training sessions will be provided for CCTV installers at the new premises and consultants will be able to see products in situ.
He official opening will take place in October.
