<b>Ken Youngman takes over as finance director at Securicor Guarding.</b>
Manned guarding specialist Securicor has appointed Ken Youngman, formerly with Securicor Recruitment Services, as finance director. In his new role Ken is charged with continuing the acquisitions strategy for Securicor Guarding (over the past year, the company has bought-out five UK concerns, increasing its annual sales to GB pound 150 million). Before joining Securicor, Ken was the finance director for alarm system specialist Shorrock Alarms.

Mike Bluestone, managing director of the Berkeley Security Bureau, has announced a further expansion of the company’s operations – encompassing a move into corporate fraud and financial investigations, and with it the appointment of two ex-City of London Police Fraud Squad officers. Between them, Tony Waters and Mick North have 30 years’ experience in major fraud enquiries. Their most recent case involved the investigation of fund managers at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell.

nCipher Corporation, the leading developer of security products for e-commerce and PKI applications, has appointed 44 year-old Jamie Urquhart as a non-executive director. Urquhart joins nCipher founders and executive directors Alex and Nicko van Someren (as well as three fellow non-executive directors) on the Corporation’s Board of Directors. <b>Tony Holloway, business development manager at Synectic Systems.</b>
Synectic Systems has expanded its technical sales team with the appointment of a new business development manager. Tony Holloway’s remit is to reinforce support for the company’s Midlands-based customers.

Chris Bridgwood is the new head of sales at BT RedCare, having been promoted from his post as national account sales manager. The company also welcomes Lee McLean (as national accounts manager for the Midlands and the North) and Dave Gladwell, the new southern region accounts manager. Lee was formerly the corporate accounts manager at C&K Systems.
<b>Karl Haw is the new product development manager for DM’s CCTV Division.</b>
Karl Haw is the new product manager for Dedicated Micros’ recently-formed CCTV Division. He will assume responsibility for the company’s Sprite Lite and Digital Sprite Lite product ranges. Meanwhile, Steve Green has also joined DM from Chicago-based Ircon as national sales manager. He will focus on supporting key accounts, as well as DM’s major distribution channels.
