Designed for a range of masterkey applications that are both commercial and residential, as well as within schools and hospitals, the Assa Flexcore Plus is patent protected until 2023.
Assa says “masterkey systems are the best way of providing the right balance between security and accessibility, with patent protection the only effective way of preventing illegal key duplication”.
Karen Pearce, product manager for Assa Abloy Security Solutions, said: “The Assa Flexcore Plus key blanks have been specifically designed to allow acceptance into the new patented inner plug profile.
“In order to get a new key cut, a locksmith would require identification as well as written confirmation from a housing authority or landlord.
“These new keys are backwards compatible with Assa Flexcore cylinders, due to the tubular shape on the underside of the key blank being retained within the new design; allowing locksmiths the convenience of only stocking one key blank.”
