Axis Communications IP cameras chosen for new hosted service from NW Systems

Streamdays 2 uses the latest technologies to deliver live video using Axis IP cameras, which means that all the images from the customer’s cameras are streamed to a secure remote server managed by Streamdays where they can be broadcast over the Internet.

Frank Crouwel, managing director at NW Systems Group, said: “We chose to work with Axis Communications as its cameras are the easiest to integrate with the Streamdays 2 application and the image quality they produce is second to none.”

He added: “Up until recently, it was only possible to get one image on a website every three to five seconds, whereas now customers can have a postcard-sized image of up to 30 frames per second. This service is so simple to use and, with the removal of frame rate and viewer limitations, it’s one simple package.”

Simultaneous camera views

Customers using the service, which costs GB pound 24.99 per month, are no longer limited on the number of simultaneous camera views.

Additionally, browser support has been widened meaning that the camera images can be viewed across a range of platforms such as a PC, Mac or even an iPhone.

Phil Doyle, regional director for Northern Europe at Axis Communications, said: “This service is ideal for businesses in the leisure and tourism sectors that want to show potential customers the facilities they have to offer. Streamdays 2 uses a range of Axis cameras, all with HD and H.264, so live image quality is better than ever.”

In conclusion, Doyle stated: “It’s a simple and cost-effective way of enhancing a website and, with Streamdays managing the transmission and storage of multiple video streams, it couldn’t be more accessible to these businesses.”
