BSIA appoints Mike Reddington as new chief executive
The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has appointed former videocon MD Mike Reddington as its new chief executive.
Spanning 25 years Reddington’s career in the security industry also includes stints at ADI Global Distribution and Honeywell. He has also founded Redrise Consultancy, a business consultancy for which he remains managing director.
His career began in electronic engineering before he moved into sales and marketing roles. He holds an MBA from Leeds University Business School.
“I am delighted that Mike is joining as chief executive,” said BSIA chairman Simon Banks. “Mike brings his years of experience to the BSIA at an exciting time.
“His leadership will play an essential role, ensuring the Association continues to be the voice of the private security industry. His priority will be running the Association for the membership to provide the very best value.
“I’m looking forward to working with Mike to ensure the Industry’s leading security Association delivers on its promises, proudly providing members with a symbol of quality and professionalism.”
Mike will take up his new role, replacing the outgoing James Kelly, on Monday 21 January 2019.
