State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Car parking in a box

Whereas many solutions use just number plate recognition, the newly launched product from Advanced camera Solutions, also matches a vehicle’s profile on entry and exit to detect vehicle theft.

The company says it can be integrated “easily” into car-park equipment, such as ticket machines and barriers, as well as into access control management software.

“By providing an entirely automated subscription system, these solutions represent a considerable reduction in running costs and an improvement in security levels of public car parks”.

It can also provide a counting system of remaining spaces.

Micropak can be “installed in a few minutes” and, once installed, all of the camera settings can be remotely adjusted after which the camera parameters are stored and controlled automatically.

The company claims it is the only camera on the market that can be deployed on the barrier post.

When connected to an IP interface, it will read and export number plates in real time plus date, time and vehicle JPEG.

Two versions are available: 10 images per second version for car parks with barriers and 25 images per second for installations without barriers.
