China contract for BlueStar SecuTech

The contract is worth approximately RMB 3.6 million ( GB pound 0.3 million) and is scheduled for completion this month.

Under the contract, the company will supply and install its surveillance equipment in RCC branches and outlets in two zones of Langfang, Heibei province. The project will put the foundations in place for future surveillance network systems within the RCCs in Langfang.

Rural Credit Cooperatives were first established in the 1950s to provide credit to enterprises and individuals in rural China.

As China’s economy has grown, RCCs have played a growing and vital role in assisting the development of China’s rural economy. By 2009 there were approximately 40,000 RCCs across China and, along with banks, are China’s main legal providers of credit serving rural enterprises and individuals.

Xiao Gang, chief executive of BlueStar, said: “It’s a marvelous achievement for BlueStar to begin working with RCCs, which are the mainstay of the rural financial sector in China. Working with RCCs is yet another positive step for Bluestar and is an area which offers considerable potential.”
