Chubb has again taken the top spot among fire and security companies in the Business Superbrands listings for 2009. The company achieved 12th place, just ahead of brands such as Boeing and Visa, and up from 57th place in last year’s rankings.
Chubb is well ahead of the next company on the list with fire industry interests, Siemens, which is ranked 62. Other brands in the Top 250 are: Pilkington (77); DuPont (82;) 3M (93); ADT (195); BSI (204); and Honeywell (236), although the latter is listed in the aerospace and defence category.
“There are 100 new brands in the top 500, showing that while the top of the league experiences relative calm, overall volatility remains and brands have to fight hard to be in the table, especially during these turbulent times,” said Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the Business Superbrands council for 2009. “The essential components that define a Business Superbrand – quality, reliability and distinction – are all widely evident at Chubb.”
