CIA Excel Group opens City of London offices

Leading security consulting, investigations and training organisation the CIA Excel Group has now officially opened its City of London office. This move follows the opening of a dedicated Centre of Security Excellence in Belfast on 4 September.

Among those present at the opening – conducted by British Security Industry Association chief executive David Dickinson – were prominent representatives from a range of professional and business sectors.

The new City office is headed up by Mike Bluestone. Mike boasts nearly 20 years’ extensive experience in the corporate security and risk management arenas, and has rightly earned a reputation for being an innovator in the fields of security solutions and methodology. A Masters graduate and associate of Loughborough University Business School’s Security Facility, Mike – an active member of Security Management Today’s Editorial Advisory Board – has pioneered consultancy and training programmes for the facilities and security guarding sectors.

At the CIA Excel Group launch event, the company announced the establishment of its central London K999 service for explosives detection. Mike Bluestone commented: “We have launched this service as we recognise that all businesses, and in particular those within central London and the Square Mile, have a defined need for specialist bomb detection services.”

Bluestone went on to state that the K999 service is only one part of the Group’s continuing search to find practical solutions that can assist companies with their own counter-terrorism and business resilience and continuity programmes.”

Established in the late 1980s under the leadership of managing director and founder Alan D’Ambrosio, the CIA Excel Group has grown to become one of the largest investigation, training, risk management and general security consultancies in both Scotland and Northern Ireland. The company is continuing its growth with the development of further niche services. Support also comes from its office in Hamilton.
