As part of the BBC’s Dream Lives series, in which communities have been helped to achieve their dreams by using the latest science and technology, COE Ltd provided their Telecommand range, including a new solution that enables cameras to work in accordance with the Privacy Act.
The Nightingale estate, Hackney, London, was undergoing a massive reconstruction project. The challenge was to improve security with CCTV cameras but also adhere to the Privacy Act. COE provided its Telecommand command and control package, so that cameras could be monitored from the new control room on the ground floor of a tower block, and Telecommand-DPZ (Dynamic Privacy Zone), giving privacy protection.
