Advanced Electronics has had its environmental management system approved to BS EN ISO 14001:2004 by BSI.
The company manufactures a wide range of intelligent control and indicating panels, software and peripherals for fire detection, smoke control and emergency lighting monitoring.
The newly revised BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard specifies the requirements for an environmental management system, which provides a framework for an organisation to control the environmental impact of its activities, products and services, and to continually improve its environmental performance.
The award follows sustained investment for the company in product development and infrastructure. In May 2006 it opened a new research and development facility in Barnsley, followed by new building works at its main Cramlington site.
