The RHWL-designed Beaufort House office development adjacent to London’s famous Petticoat Lane is home to a prestigious tenant list, including City barristers, stockbrokers and merchant bankers. One of its major tenants is Credit Suisse.
Not surprisingly, security needs to be tight – hence CCTV specialist Conway Security Products was called in to take part in what is one of the largest digital recording projects ever to be trialled in the City.
Conway’s Titan dome cameras – housing Sony day/night cameras – feature an optically flat screen, while a smooth, high-speed stepper motor drive ensures that the cameras can reach any point on their pan axis within one second. The domes monitor the office floorplates, the three-storey-high entrance hall and a public piazza leading to the building.
Conway has also supplied its Omega telemetry range, including a specially-configured 64 input/eight output matrix. This is important in that it provides RF up-the-coax communication for eight cameras as well as RS485 control for the remaining 58 domes.
All images are recorded using Tenestra’s latest Prima digital recording technology.
