State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Covert GPRS digital recorder for those hard-to-reach places

The unit can be rapidly deployed, and connects to any standard analogue camera. When triggered by a detector, it takes a series of digitised images and sends an immediate SMS notification to any GPRS enabled phone.

Jpeg images can be emailed as attachments for access using any Internet enabled computer or PDA. All images are time and date stamped and can be transmitted in a range of resolutions, including 320×240 for optimum speed over cellular networks.

Weighing 690g with dimensions of 153 x 140 x 43mm, this battery-operated recorder is suitable for covert use in locations where no power or physical means of communication are available. In ‘wake’ mode, recordings are triggered by the built-in motion detection system. The D-V58 also features a ‘sleep’ mode to conserve power, enabling it to run for up to three weeks without needing a battery change. In this mode, PIRs, door contacts or pressure sensors trigger recordings. There is also a relay out to switch on a security light or open a door and a 12Volt DC out which can be programmed to power up a covert camera once a trigger has been received.
