An emergency call was received at 2am, and the blaze had taken hold in the station’s shop. The building was evacuated along with nearby homes while crews tackled the fire. Later, a spokesman from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze had left the building "severely damaged."
The firewas brought under control just before 5am and nobody was harmed. A total of 11 appliances were used, including two jets and an aerial ladder platform.
