Firefighters use Cobra to tackle Carlsberg brewery fire
The Carlsberg brewery in Northampton was damaged in a fire last week following reports of an explosion.
More than 20 firefighters, who were called soon after 2.30 pm on 3 August, used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and a specialist Cobra cutting extinguishing equipment to tackle the blaze.
The fire, which damaged the grinder hammer mill and malt contents of a silo, is believed to have affected the third and fourth floors of the processing area, leaving the two floors below severely smoke logged, according to the Northampton Chronicle & Echo.
The fire was brought under control by around 3.30pm thought crews stayed at the scene until after 8.30 pm.
