Fulcrum stocks FBI-approved fingerprint scanner
The certification, also known as FIPS 201, was developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to make sure federal employees and contractors who have access to high-security facilities meet homeland security requirements.
“The PIV certification from the FBI assures our customers that the Nitgen eNBioScan-F meets some of the strictest standards for image quality and reliability across a full range of environments and applications,” said Ken Nosker, president of Fulcrum Biometrics.
“We are pleased to offer the eNBioScan-F and other scanners from Nitgen because they consistently demonstrate high quality at some of the lowest price points on the market.”
The eNBioScan-F scanner has a 1.2″ wide reader screen that is said to be able to glean fingerprints with a high degree of accuracy and detail, even when fingers are wet.
Available with a USB 2.0 connection, the eNBioScan comes with demo software and can be ordered with drivers for Windows.
