Taylor will bring his considerable experience of managing Human Resources (HR) projects to bear in assuming responsibility for developing the business into a market leader in the global screening industry.
In short, Taylor will be responsible for delivering significant growth of G4S’ operations in this market as increased regulatory compliance demands and corporate risk mitigation drive market expansion.
He’s charged with overseeing the next phase of the development of a business which enables organisations to significantly reduce the reputational risk and impact on Duty of Care that employing an unsuitable candidate – or failing to check existing employees and contractors – can so easily create.
Taylor is a recognised expert in his field, and was previously senior vice-president at BackCheck (one of the top five global providers of pre-employment screening services). According to the official G4S press statement issued today, he has extensive experience of developing innovative business service models and responding to rapid market changes to provide “responsive and flexible” HR services.
Taylor’s experience includes roles as director of corporate healthcare at Specsavers Optical Group and sales director for the UK and Ireland business of Accor Services.
Compliance and risk mitigation: increasingly important
“Compliance and risk mitigation in the recruitment process is increasingly important for organisations in both regulated and unregulated environments,” commented Taylor, “and businesses are now critically aware of their Duty of Care to both their employees and their customers.”
He continued: “As a Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor and a key member of the British Security Industry Association, we understand the importance of a rigid audit process. As part of our National Security Inspectorate Gold Standard accreditation, regular audits of our screening and vetting service are conducted, in addition to client audits.”
