G4S Cash Services (UK) appoints Adam Miller as new risk director
Responsible for corporate risk management as well as control systems and business excellence, Adam will play a pivotal role in delivering a robust system for evaluating the nature and extent of the evolving risks faced by the organisation.
Previously, Adam was director of the company’s UK cash centres business where he was responsible for the development of the higher value cash centres. Prior to joining Group 4 Securicor in 2004, he worked in the automotive industry for 11 years (including a spell at Toyota where he held operational, general and process management roles).
Speaking about his appointment, Miller told info4security.com: “I am delighted to be taking up this role and helping to maintain the company’s status as the industry benchmark for risk management. As the largest company operating in the cash-in-transit sector we face a wide range of challenges including a dynamic and increasingly violent criminal threat. However, through working closely with the police and other key stakeholders to insure that the best systems and controls are in place, we will be in a position to meet these challenges head on and, in the process, we will continue to raise the bar for risk management systems across the security industry.”
Ian Nesbit, managing director at G4S Cash Services (UK), commented: “Adam has a strong track record in developing best practice risk management systems and he was the natural choice for this role. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, and I am delighted that he will be adding fresh impetus into an area in which we are already an industry leader. Adam will play an important role as we continue to work with the police and other stakeholders to develop initiatives that will curtail the growing number of violent attacks taking place on the cash-in-transit industry.”
